Big Bear Snow 5

Big Bear Snow 5, the fifth picture in this series. Sorry, they are no longer in any numerical order, I simply didn’t have then numbered right. This photo is where I hikes up to in the snow wearing only shorts and a t-shirt, having come up not knowing there would be snow.

The prior day I had been in the same location, and it had been a warm fall day, sunny, no snow falling or on the ground at all. Crazy how quickly that changed, especially in the eyes of a desert dweller from the flat lands.

Big Bear Snow 4 was taken on the move from the passenger window as Scotty drove me back up the mountain to obtain new photos, as the ones the day before were too dark.

I was surprised that so much snow could fall so fast, because the day before when I had been up here there was no snow falling, and no snow on the ground, a warm fall day.

Big Bear Snow 3. This set of photos, by the way, are pictures I took on a trip to Big Bear, Ca, a couple years ago. I had been on the mountain the previous day but had run out of time and light to get clear photos of all the objectives, having gotten lost several times…

The final stop was so dark that I couldn’t get clear photos, so I had to return the following day. The first day up had been clear and warm with zero snowfall or snow on the ground, and I was not expecting snow at all, going up dressed in a t-shirt, shorts and running shoes. The second trip my boy, Scotty, volunteered to drive me up as he had the day off, and he wanted to test his new Jetta out on the mountain roads. He wasn’t prepared for snow either. In fact as we neared the target to be photographed his car began sliding down the hill in the ice, so I had to get out and walk the rest of the way in the snow. This picture was taken just after I had gotten out to begin walking. The target was just around the bend on the far left.

Big Bear Snow 2. A few years ago I had to make a second trip up to Big Bear, CA to obtain photos that had not turned out from the day before. The prior pictures were too dark, as the sun had set, so I went up the following day and re-shot the pictures. I decided on the way to take some pictures for my own personal use along the way. This is one of them.

Interestingly, when I had been up on the mountain the previous day, there was no snow fall, no snow on the ground, it was a sunny fall day. This is just about 15 hours later.

Zoey and Cousin Christmas

I managed to catch video each year of the cousins at play until this year. This is Zoey and Cousin Christmas.

Each year extended family gets together to celebrate Christmas, and each year Zoey and her cousin play like mad. Zoey’s older, so she had to wait until her cousin could walk before playing, but as soon as he was up, they were off. I did not catch Christmas 2014, the best playig yet, mostly because I was distracted, and they were playing hide and seek with each other, not good video there.

Zoey Foofa Christmas, Zoey loves foofa, and in 2011 she got a Foofa doll for Christmas. So sweet. She watched Yo Gabba Gabba nearly from birth, and loved all the characters, but especially Foofa.

She still has the Foofa doll these years later, though it has seen better days. Zoey recently did a concert in the living room, and Foofa was, or course, in the audience. Not sure if elmo was there. Anyway, to the innocence and wonder that is childhood, cheers.

A black and white version of Justin, or Justin Being Justin BW, he being a part of Claranormal, doing the little person dance at our house in Claremont. This was in about 2008, the original, the BW version was created a few years later. He is family even if he isn’t actually family, so this is going into the family video section.

This was shot by us about 6.5 to 7 years ago as Claranormal’s Justin was visiting the Claremont house. He of course is a funny guy, and he decided to put on a show, doing a little person dance on the table. This is going into our family section because Justin is family after all, even if he is a freak 😀 There are also two other version of this being uploaded, a black and white and an olde tyme version.

Zoey Blows Bubbles

This is a video that’s from maybe 2.5 or 3 years ago as Zoey blows bubbles.  Little Z has always loved to sit at the kitchen island, and this time she had some watered down iced tea. She has always been partial to straws too, and finally discovered what we all do when we’re little, blowing bubbles.

Still to this day we keep a stash of straws here for her just for her drinking pleasure, lol. I remember doing the bubbles thing with milk, and, oh wow, memory just came back, with those old style paper straws. Remember using those on a milk shake? Pure torture.
